` Chicago Kilt Run is a great way for charities to raise money and awareness among non-traditional donors. These charity events offer a variety of options for participants, including a competitive 5K race and non-competitive run and walk. "5K" is approximately 3 miles, which most people can walk in an hour or less. To participate, runners and walkers generally contribute a registration fee or collect pledges. In return, these participants enjoy an organized walk or run along scenic routes and often get snacks, drinks, a t-shirt, and other keepsakes. Chicago Kilt Run volunteers are needed for as little as a few hours to make the day successful for everyone. Activities can include stuffing information packets, accepting registrations, setting-up the race course, and handing out water to runners.

The sponsorship you raise is where the money comes from for these great causes, and the more you can raise the better it will be for them. We have come up with a couple of ideas to help you generate higher levels of sponsorship. Our ideas go from the simple ideas behind sponsorship to the different ideas.

Gold Sponsor
$1,500.00

Silver Sponsor
$1,000.00

Bronze Sponsor
$500.00

  • To generate a decent level of sponsorship why not try taking a short walk down your street, knocking on a few neighbors doors. You should be able to generate $25.00 through a couple of doors, and hopefully a little more towards our cause’s.

  • Ask your employer if they would be willing to match your sponsorship raised, allowing us the opportunity to double your sponsorship, really helping our causes.

  • Find a corporate sponsor. Do you know of any companies locally or nationally who would be willing to sponsor you for your efforts? Some may be willing to sponsor you per Kilometer, and could help you to raise a large amount of sponsorship.

  • Propose walking the course backwards, or running the entire distance to help raise your sponsored amount.

  • Ask people to sponsor you per kilometer instead of a single fee.

*In regards to the current environment we live in we would request that all runners, consider asking for donations towards your cause in place of asking for sponsorship. Due to instances nationally of people being unable to finish sponsored events (usually for medical reasons), and sponsors have dropped out. By asking for donations you can still ensure that if for any reason you can not complete the race your donation will still find its way to the causes
We require all sponsorships to be paid day of the run. This helps us to ensure that the causes receive their funds as early as possible.
